Cake decorating classes for everyone

Our Petone cake studio is an inclusive, welcoming space for everyone. Suitable for all skill levels, our cake decorating classes are great for learning decorating tips and tricks - we welcome complete beginners and experienced cakers. Our classes fill up fast, so book in quick to reserve your spot and follow us on social media or check back here for new classes.

Cake classes
We bake the cakes before you arrive and everything is provided, just book in, turn up and have fun. You get to take home a full sized, beautifully decorated cake. Scroll down to choose a class and book your place! Ages 13+ for full cakes.

Classes for kids
We hold cupcake classes for everyone - kids come from age 6+ with an accompanying adult, and adults come on their own or with friends too. Click on one of the classes below for details. 

Cupcake parties 
We also hold private cupcake classes for up to 8 kids, a great idea for small birthday parties. Private kids classes are $320 for up to 8 kids, we ask that a few adults are present to supervise guests and help our teenage party hosts/teachers if required. Please get in touch to find out more. 

Private classes
Our private classes are a great way to get together and learn new skills. All of our classes can be held as private classes, including cupcake classes (6-10 people from $50 each), demonstration classes (6-10 people from $50 each) and full cake classes (4-6 people from $130 each)/

Shop our favourites
Our favourite cake decorating tools can all be bought from our favourite cake decorating supplier, Cupcake Sweeties in Lower Hutt (or online). Use code BRIDGET for 10% off on their website.

Note - at our classes you will be asked to opt out of photographs if you do not wish your image to be used in our marketing and promotional material. By agreeing to be in our photographs (or not opting out) you consent to allow us to use your images.

Come and join us for a fun drop in session and make a cake for Father's Day.

We'll provide everything you need - cake, buttercream fondant, sprinkles, and decorations - so you can create a special cake in our studio.

Sunday 13 October mermaid cake class

Join us to create this gorgeous mermaid cake with edible decorations. Learn lots of tips and tricks and take home your beautiful creation. No need to bring anything, just sign up, turn up and have fun in our new Petone studio. We'll contact you a few days before class to remind you. Our classes are small and sell out fast.
