Tis the season for giving.
If you’re looking for gifts from the heart this Christmas that won’t take too much time or break the bank, we’ve got some great ideas.

No-bake baking
The best kind of baking is one where minimal dishes are involved and you don’t even have to turn on the oven. Ideal for gifts for teachers, neighbours and friends, you can even get the kids involved in the kitchen.
Try our favourite 3 ingredient Bailey’s microwave fudge, or omit the Bailey’s and add crushed candy canes. Original recipe from High Tea with Dragons.
Ingredients
1020g white chocolate, broken
1 can condensed milk,
½ cup Bailey’s
Method
Line a pan with baking paper or non-stick foil and set aside Place all ingredients in a large saucepan and warm over low heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted and ingredients are well combined Pour into prepared pan and place in fridge to cool Once set slice into squares using a sharp knife. Store in the fridge, wrap in cellophane bags and tie with a pretty bow.

Easy Christmas Truffles
Try this no-bake Chelsea recipe
Ingredients
3/4 cup icing sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa
60 grams finely crushed plain sweet biscuits
60 grams melted kremelta
dash of vanilla essence
1/2 cup condensed milk
Method
Sift icing sugar and cocoa together in a bowl. Add the crushed biscuits and stir. Mix in melted kremelta, then the vanilla and condensed milk. Now beat the mixture until it thickens, but not too solid. Place the mixture in the fridge to set for about 30 minutes (not too much longer or it will set hard). Then take the mixture out of the fridge and shape into small balls, about 3cm width. We like to pop a mini marshmallow inside each truffle and roll them in fine coconut. Store in the fridge, fill a jar and give to your favourite teacher/neighbour/helper.

All in one jars
We’ve got a range of ingredient jars in store that make great gifts on their own, or if you’re feeling creative, you can bake them and gift the finished product.
Choose from gingerbread men with cookie cutter, dog biscuits with bone cutters (for your furry friends) and Santa cookies with either white chocolate and cranberry or milk chocolate drops. At just $25 a jar they’re the perfect gift for the baker in your family.

Gifts for bakers
We’ve also got a range of gingerbread house, gift baking and kids baking kits, aprons for kids and adults. If you’re buying for a serious baker (or treating yourself) pop into our shop for a baker’s hamper, complete with scales, piping bags and piping tips.  We've got gift vouchers for our cake decorating classes, Christmas cakes and cupcakes in our
online store. Or pop in and see us at 212 Jackson St, Petone, for cabinet treats, cakes and foodie gifts.

We’re open Tuesday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-2pm every week. And we’ll have in store specials and giveaways at our Super Shopper Weekend, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December, 10am-4pm.
